Morphing into Future Leaders – TYT Students Excel at Model United Nations

Our English Debating Team performed exceptionally well in the qualifying round of the SeeChange Model United Nations, which was held on August 12-13, 2023 in the City University of Hong Kong. The match was organised by both See Change Education and the Hong Kong International Education Association, in collaboration with Cambridge University. Throughout the event, students were given the opportunity to negotiate, debate, and propose solutions for global issues with their fellow delegates while showcasing their eloquence, astute observation and analytical skills. Ultimately, the team triumphantly clinched several awards, including Best Opening Speech, Best Delegation, Outstanding Diplomat, Outstanding Debater and Outstanding Position Paper, among other prizes. In view of the aforementioned honours, our Debating Team was entitled to enrol two students to compete for the succeeding round in Cambridge from September 19-26.
