Our students 5B Choi Po Ying Lily, 5B Chan Yuen Yee Cathy and 5B Lam Wing Ting Wendy joined a Southeast Asian Model European Union session via Zoom organized by Hong Kong Model ASEAN Association. We are glad to share that Lily won the Best Delegate Award and Cathy and Wendy received the Honourable Mention Award.
This programme is part of the UNHCR MUN Refugee Challenge, an initiative to raise awareness about refugees around the world. After attending hours of training sessions, our students represented Belgium, Germany and Spain as delegates to submit their written position papers on the topic “Social Inclusion of Refugees”. Following the formal conventions of ASEAN, a two-day (22-23 May 2021) simulative academic conference was held for students to meet, discuss, reach consensus and draft resolutions in the end.
